We arrived in London yesterday to beautiful sunshine and the smile of our friends Melissa and Lee.
We survived the tube ride from the airport with way too many bags. There is definitely not enough escalators at the tube stations. We had a couple of after work drinks in the city district followed by a lovely Thai dinner.
We woke this morning to another sunny day. Ben trundled off early this morning to find Temple station to watch the Reds and Crusader final with some friends from Brisbane. I stayed with Melissa and Lee to do some gardening and watch Lee build a front fence. Tonight we are having our first London BBQ in their garden.
One thing to mention we are a little confused with the sun being up for so long. Sunset was at 10:30pm and rose again very early at around 3:30am.
Tomorrow we venture off to Ljubljana in Slovenia for a week with Dianne and Rick, followed by a week in Inzell, Germany with Jutta.
