Day 1 - Lake Bled

This morning we woke up to a sunny London day before flying to Lbjubljana in Slovenia. We had a slight hold up in customs in Stanstead as Bonjella caused a issue with the custom authorities.

Once on the plane we only had to stay on the tarmac for 1 hour before departing. The clientele was a bit different as there was a heavy metal festival happening this week.  The flight was a little bumpy. However, the view was amazing out the plane window. As we descended into Slovenia we could still see snow on the mountains.

We had our first experience of someone holding a sign for us outside the terminal for our transfer. A nice Slovenian girl drove us to Bled where we met Dianne and Rick. After our little dilemma of finding out that all four of us are sharing one room. We decided to go for happy hour in the beautiful sunshine.. We secured a lovely spot on the Lake Bled for a nice champagne and local beer for the boys. The temperature for today was 33 degrees. One UK girl got off the plane and said she felt like a bake potato in a microwave. We however are enjoying every moment of this heat before going back to London.

Tomorrow we are going to spend the day by the lake. Apparently you are charged to sit by the lake. Depending on what hour you go and visit is the rate you are charged.

We are here for the next three nights before going to Piran and ending in Lbjubljana.
