It's been a while

Apologies to all but it has been a busy two weeks, I'm going to keep this short and sweet. The Olympics are over and work has been so busy. Last weekend saw the end of the Olympics. We went to our friends house to watch the closing ceremony on Sunday. It was such a great evening and the ceremony . The evening had such perfect weather we managed to have a barbecue outside.

On Saturday we got up a little too early for my liking and hoped on a train to Windsor to watch the gold medal events for kayaking and canoeing. It was such a great time. The venue was really nice, we got to walk across great racing fields to get to the river to watch the event. The area We were sitting in front of two Polish gentlemen that were also struggling in the medal tally like us Aussies. They kindly helped support the Aussie in our two races and we did the same for their countries. The weather was too good to be true. Ben even had to go hunting for sunscreen. The event was all finished by 11:30 which was great. We were home by 12:30 for lunch. In the afternoon Benny headed into Hyde Park to watch the football final and the Australia vs Great Britain men's final for bronze on the big screens. It got so jammed that Ben and his friends moved to a pub in Notting Hill. The pub we went to is a landmark as it is covered in flowers. I met them there as I was having coffee with my friend Josie. The pub was also packed with people crowded around the screens. We watched the 5000m men final and a few other big events. Whoever was choosing the events to put on the screen needed their head read. The decided to make everyone watch a boxing match with a Brit in it and skip over watching the 4 x 100m final with just that slightly fast Jamaican team. We were slightly annoyed but just laughed it off.

Tomorrow night my cousin's Dave and Chris arrive for two night. It will be nice to catch up with them both. Dave is going home after a many weeks of travelling. This weekend will be spent catching up on sleep. It has been a very long week of work. I've been organising a photo shoot and meeting lots of lovely people.
